Prayer Time: #1 in our top 10:   Ask the kids what you can pray about and lead them in prayer about their personal requests.

Bible Story: (found under Make it True ) Instead of a globe or a heart pillow you could print out pictures or bring any props from home.  Easy story and a good one to talk about after Christmas-- as Jesus is growing up.

Activities:  (Make it Stick and Make it Fun) Plenty of great options.
  • Circle of Questions- easy no props.  Uses tape on the floor
  • Look alike- use the game cards from the activity pages.
  • Jesus is amazing -Maze sheet from activity pages.
  • I am amazing-fun easy game, no props either.
  • Ask Jesus- this game could be more challenging as they have to think of ideas, but it would be a good one!

December Scripture:  Please go over scripture each week with the motions
"God so loved the world that he gave His only Son."  John 3:16 click here for scripture motions.

Prayer Time: #1 in our top 10:   Ask the kids what you can pray about and lead them in prayer about their personal requests.

Bible Story: (found under Make it True ) The curriculum has you opening gift boxes each week and you could wrap a prop or a picture up to help tell the story.  You don't have to wrap four gift boxes and follow that.  You can read the angel part of the story from a children's Bible or Use one of the large story books that I have.  Each week we will build on the Christmas story. This week it is about Joseph and Mary traveling to Bethlehem and Jesus was born.  My suggestions is to start at the beginning of the Christmas story and read to the point of the story where we are.
Activities:  (Make it Stick and Make it Fun) It's a countdown theme for Christmas.
  • Pin the tail-a classic game that relates to our story.
  • God gave-easy table activity.
  • Going on a journey-no props and sets the stage for the story.
  • Journey to Bethlehem-table activity that kids can do-a maze worksheet.
  • Manger necklaces-We have everything to make these and they would be cuteI can gather the  stuff for you on sunday morning.
