Monthly theme: Jesus loves everyone.

Announcements:
  •  This month starts a new theme! yeah...Take a minute and watch the preview video.
  • Remember to wear your stick on name tags that are kept in the black binder.  It is great for parents to connect a face and a name.
  • I will have stickers to put on kids backs' this week telling about the story they learned Sunday morning.
Curriculum:  Week 1 of 4:  The woman at the well.

February Scripture:  Please go over scripture each week with the motions
"Love each other as I have loved you"  John 15:12. (motions are in activity pages this week.)

Prayer Time: #1 in our top 10:   Ask the kids what you can pray about and lead them in prayer.

Bible Story: (found under Make it True) I will provide the poster board wells and little buckets for you to use in telling the story.  You could pick a child to be the "woman at the well" and describe how she doesn't have many friends.  Bring whatever other props you want.

Activities: (Make it Stick and Make it Fun) comments about some of the activities:

Games:
  • Look for love: easy hide and seek game around the room.  can copy on regular paper.
  • Water from well: an easy game...u could use the story props to play this and kids like to act out raising and lowering a bucket.
Craft:
  • Tissue paper bucket:  This is an easy craft using blue tissue paper.  I can make color copies for you.
  • Bucket of love:   Kids would probably like this craft, but I am not sure what kind of cup you could color brown?  Maybe something will come to  mind for you??

Monthly theme: Jesus can do anything.

Announcements:
  •   This Sunday is a children's SERVE sunday, so all kids preschool-5th grade will be working on a service project.  Serve leaders will be coming into the preschool rooms at 10:15 to ask kids to decorate a poster.  They will then have the kids hold the posters and take a picture.  This should take 10-15 min.  So plan lesson time from 10:30-11am this Sunday
  • Remember to wear your stick on name tags that are kept in the black binder.  It is great for parents to connect a face and a name.
  • I will have stickers to put on kids backs' this week telling about the story they learned Sunday morning.

Curriculum: Lesson 4 of 4 : Walking on water
January  Scripture:  Please go over scripture each week with the motions
(click here for motions.)   "With God all things are possible."  Matthew 19:26.

Prayer Time: #1 in our top 10:   Ask the kids what you can pray about and lead them in prayer.

Bible Story:  (found under Make it True) You might look at the activity called "Boat Ride" to include in your story telling time. This is an easy story.  Again,  I love taping out a large boat on the floor for the kids to pretend to sit in.

Activities: A few highlights of the activities:

Games/Activities:
  • Friendly boat: might play this if you have lots of stuffed animals at home to bring in,
  • It's Possible: A fun easy game...uses the scenario cards in the activity pages.  Good way to show all things are possible with God.
  • Stormy or Calm: Can use the streamers you made as a craft.
Craft:
  • Caught in a storm:  We have the supplies for this in the resource room.  The silver glitter might be a glitter glue stick.
  •  Streamers:  We have streamers and craft sticks, so this would be easy and you can use in telling the story and can play the game:  Stormy or calm.
  • Not in Curriculum: See this fun craft from the think orange pinterest page: Make a sponge boat.  I can pick up sponges for you or you can.  We have straws and sheets of foam to make the sail.

  • All three rooms WILL be open this Sunday.
  • Remember to wear your stick on name tags that are kept in the black binder.  It is great for parents to connect a face and a name.
  • I will have stickers to put on kids backs' this week telling about the story they learned Sunday morning.

Curriculum: Lesson 3 of 4 : Walking on water
January  Scripture:  Please go over scripture each week with the motions
(click here for motions.)   "With God all things are possible."  Matthew 19:26.

Prayer Time: #1 in our top 10:   Ask the kids what you can pray about and lead them in prayer.

Bible Story:  (found under Make it True) This week's story is walking on water.  If you tape a boat on the floor and bring in some spatulas you can have a good make-believe boat. Pick someone play the role of Jesus and walk on the water toward the boat.

Activities: A few highlights of the activities:

Games/Activities:
  • Row your boat: Could play this right before you tell the story.
  • Cold as Ice:  Can play this game, just need to put some ice in a thermos.  We have ice at the church but it is crushed.  I think kids would like this game. There are CD players in each room you can use for the music.
  • Float or Sink:  Also an easy game.  Kids would like the visual.  We have large sand buckets at church you could fill with water or bring your own container from home.
  • Don't Fall:  Another easy game.  You can put the blue tape all around like balance beams and have the kids walk on them.
Craft:
  • Watercolor Fun:  I don't usually gravitate toward painting but I have small spill proof pots of blue rubbing alcohol paint that is very easy to use.  Dries almost instantaneously.  We have some smocks as well.
  • Walking on water craft: This gives a cute visual.  We have cardstock and craft sticks.

Monthly theme: Jesus can do anything.

Announcements:
  • Only Green and Red rooms will be open this week.  Blue will open next week.

Curriculum: Lesson 2 of 4 : Feeding the 5,000
January  Scripture:  Please go over scripture each week with the motions
(see curriculum.)   "With God all things are possible."  Matthew 19:26.

Prayer Time: #1 in our top 10:   Ask the kids what you can pray about and lead them in prayer.

Bible Story:  (found under Make it True) This week's story is the feeding of the 5,000.  This is an easy story to tell and the curriculum walks you right through it.  Bring props if you want. I also have plenty of story books in my office with this story if you would prefer that.

Activities: A few highlights of the activities:

Games/Activities:
  • Pack the basket: You could use a bag of rolls and some swedish fish to play this game.
  • Baskets and Beanbags:  We have beanbags and baskets at church.  I can get them for you.
Craft:
  • Fish and Loaves:  This activity allows children to practice cutting.  You might want to leave this as an optional activity for those who want to cut.  Some younger children still might struggle with this.  Great activity to work the hand eye coordination.  My teacher friends tell me kids don't get enough "cutting time."
  • Full baskets:   We have goldfish and oyster crackers to to do this activity
  • Hot fish: You can bring something from home or use a styrofoam fish I have to play this version of hot potato.
