January scripture: Please go over scripture each week with the motions
"The crowds were amazed at his teachings." Matthew 7:28 click here for scripture motions.
Prayer Time: #1 in our top 10: Ask the kids what you can pray about and lead them in prayer about their personal requests.
Bible Story: (found
under Make it True ) The story this week is simple but bringing in some of the suggested props will make it easy to tell! Props can be as simple as printed pictures or anything you have around your home. I also have a story book you can read to the kids called Can I pray with my eyes open? We can share the book between the rooms.
Activities: (Make it Stick and Make it Fun)
- Sing with me and What is that sound- These are both activities that reinforce the concept of listening. Easy to do. You could come up with your own sounds to play from things in the room. I have musical instruments and drums I can get you.
- Time to pray-a group activity that you can use to teach the ideas of when we can pray to God. I can make copies for you.

Bible Story: (found
under Make it True ) I have a Big Book story called "Come Follow Me" that you can read to the children. It's a great story that parallels our truth for the week. I will put one in each room.
Activities: (Make it Stick and Make it Fun) It will be a lighter week for activities since you have music.
- Follow me- this game is on the lines of simon says: no props needed. It emphasizes following someone.
- Verse with friends-a fun easy way to work on the memory verse for the month.
- Jesus' friends-this is an easy group activity the children can do and each participate. (You could cut out Jesus' friends on Sunday morning even.) We have butcher block paper to use and make this a good group activity.
