Sunday Aug.26th-Lesson 4 First Look

Announcements this week:

1. Remember to print yourself a name tag this weekend at the electronic check in.  If you are checking in children then go back and select your name as well.  A name tag will print off for you to wear.  If your children aren't here just check yourself in the same way you would your children. Wearing a name tag each week will help parents identify and get to know you, their children's leader.

2 If you come up with a creative idea (big or little) for your lesson please click on the "comments" line at the bottom of the blog and publish your comment for all to share.  Cara Taylor had a cute idea last week and when I saw it Sunday morning I implemented it in the room I was leading.  Let's share the great ideas we all have!

3. Preschool music with Ms. Judy will be starting after Labor Day.  I'll keep you posted.

4.  Psalm Kids Kick Off is this Wednesday.  6pm-7:20.  6pm start this Wednesday. There will be a Moms to Mom group every week  if you are interested in a small group for yourself!

5. If you want to have any food just put a sign outside your door or tape it to the doorway.  Any allergy information for children will be printed on the teacher tag that is kept in your black binder.  Please review that any week you would be serving food.

6.  Next week we start  a new theme for September:  God Loves Me!

This week's lesson tips:

August Monthly Theme:  God is always with me.  (See video on website)
Bible Story Focus:  Stories God providing Manna, Quail, and Water for his people
Scripture:  God is with you wherever you go.  Joshua 1:9Please say this with children.
The children have been talking about Moses the past two weeks, so they should begin to have a base understanding about Moses leading the people to a new land.

1. This week's story is also interactive in that you can tell the story and move around the room like the Israelites.  Instead of bread oyster crackers might be a good idea to use. (We have them at church!)

2. You could print out a picture of a quail and a  desert (or show it on a tablet if you have one.) THis will help them see why there was no access to food and water.

3. If you want to do the "With you" game we have stickers in the resource room.  We also have liquid glue and paintbrushes if you like the Picture pages activity.
