This week:  Lesson 2 of 4 : We can help each other.  A woman helps Elisha.

May  Scripture:  PLEASE GO OVER SCRIPTURE EACH WEEK.  HAVE CHILDREN REPEAT IT A FEW TIMES!
(motions are in the curriculum under make it true section.)
"Be kind and loving to each other."  Ephesians 4:32

Bible Story:  (found under Make it True) Again, the Bible story this week is not a main line story.  It will be easy to tell and I suggest you bring some props to useMany of the props you could use are right in the room. You could put them in a bag or something and pull them out as you tell the story.  Should be easy!

Activities (Make it fun, Make it stick): thoughts on this weeks' activities: It would be nice to do the Mother's day activity for kids to take home and then pick anything else that would work into the lesson.
  • Games:  Helper Hat GameThis is a fun and easy game.  You could play a few different ways.
  • Crafts:
    • My design room game: This would be fun for the kids and help reinforce the story.  Let me know and I could have some volunteers copy and cut out furniture ahead of time.
    • Mother's Day Craft:  In your room there will be all the materials to make a flower pot out of "hand" die cuts and a styrofoam cup.  This will tie into our theme of "helping hands" and be a cute bouqet to give to a Mom, Grandmother, Aunt, etc. You could do this at the end of the lesson or whenever.
Prayer time: Gather in prayer sometime throughout the morning! Ask the kids what you can pray aboutand lead them in prayer.  There are prewritten prayers in the Make it Real section at the very end of the curriculum.
