This week: Lesson 3 of 4:I can show I "love you" to Jesus. Jesus Forgives.
This story continues in the I can talk to and praise Jesus focus for the month.
January Scripture: "Continue praying, keeping alert, and always thanking God." Colossians 4:2 Remember to review the scripture with the children each week (motions are in the curriculum under make it true section.)
Bible Story: The story this week is about the "outcast"woman going to dinner with Jesus and bringing him perfumed oil to anoint his feet. A great story to bring some props, maybe dinnerware, smelly perfume lotion, spray, etc. and use them in telling the story. You could also use any play dinner dishes from some of the preschool rooms. Use the Bible story in the curriculum. There will not be a video.
Activities: Lots of great games and interactive activities this week. Take a look especially at Perfume Bottle, Beautiful Bottle and Sweet Feet. They require props that I could get for you.

Games:
- Who has it? Pass the perfume, Feet Wash Relay (pretend), and Sweet Feet. These games are easy and require a prop of some kind of smelly lotion, spray, perfume. If you don't have any of this stuff let me know. With two 12 and 14 year old daughters-I own part of Bath and Body Works (ha, ha). Happy to share some if needed.
- Perfume Bottle, Beautiful Bottle- Both of these crafts requrie a few extra supplies, but I think the kids would love it. If you need water bottles and/or scented oil and koolaid packets for painting let me know. Happy to pick these up for you and have them in your room. We have plenty of paintbrushes, etc.
Prayer time: Gather in prayer sometime throughout the morning! Ask the kids what you can pray about and lift up their prayer requests to God. This whole lesson is on talking to God.
