October 13th
Monthly theme: I can always count on God.

Announcements:
  • Sorry I had the link to the monthly overview video incorrect last week. It's fixed.
  • Take a minute to read the small group time under the Make it Real section.  It has some "wrap-up the lesson" dialogue you could use!

Curriculum:  Lesson2 of 4  : God makes me strong and courageous-the Bible story of   Esther.

September Scripture:  Please go over scripture each week with the motions.  They really do learn it!  Click here for the motions  "Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid...for the Lord, your  God goes with you." Deuteronomy 31:6.

Prayer time- #1 in our top 10:   Don't forget about prayer time sometime in the hour! Ask the kids what you can pray about and lead them in prayer.

Bible Story:  (found under Make it True) I will print out the Bible story pictures referenced and you can use for pictures if you want.  Another idea  would be to make the puppets in the puppet pals activity and then tell the story using them.  The kids can hold up the right puppet along the way.  You might make a leader set of puppets to use.

Activities  My favorites for this week:

  • Getting stronger: Basically an activity of exercises talking about getting stronger.
  • King/Queen May I: Like mother may I, using a king/queen for emphasis in the Bible story.
  • Say It as Royalty:  Fun/cute way to practice the remember verse for the month. Bring some props from home if you have any dress up/ Halloween costumes and you can play King or Queen.
  • Puppet Pals-make a set of puppets for each child to use in telling the story.  Could put in a baggie to take home!  It comes with a mini- script to send home.
