October 20th
Monthly theme: I can always count on God.

Announcements:

  • This Sunday is Children's Serve Sunday for children preschool-5th grade.  Special activities are planned.  See my separate email for details!
  • There has been some confusion about substitute leaders.  I will send an email this week to clarify.  Thanks for communicating with me!

Curriculum Lesson3 of 4  : God can keep you safe. Rahab is brave by protecting and hiding the spies.

September Scripture:  Please go over scripture each week with the motions.  They really do learn it!  Click here for the motions  "Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid...for the Lord, your  God goes with you." Deuteronomy 31:6.

Prayer time- #1 in our top 10:   Don't forget about prayer time sometime in the hour! Ask the kids what you can pray about and lead them in prayer.

Bible Story:  (found under Make it True) Print out the Bible story picture mentioned in the curriculum.  It is on the website uner the Bible story pictures folder.

Activities:  My favorites for this week

GAMES:
  • Hide and Seek-easy game you could play with toys/figurines from your room.
  • Hiding in Rice-We have a rice table you could use for a bit.  Again, bring some of  your own figurines or use some from the room.
  • Who's missing- easy game to play with the colored spy pictures they provide you.
  • Parachute-we have one you could use in your room or go to the gym for a bit.  I have a few other parachute games you could play as well.
CRAFTS:

  • Red wall: This would be an easy craft and they kids might like it.  You could even braid the yarn after they tape it on.
