This week: Lesson 1 0f 5 :Jesus Heals the Blind man. Jesus will help us.
"Wow" is the theme this month as we share how amazing Jesus is...he healed peopled, helped them, and ultimately died for us and was resurrected. The preschoolers may be really learning about the Easter story for the first time. WOW!!
Bible Story: (found under Make it True) Jesus heals the blind man. This is another
favorite Bible story and the kids can learn how much Jesus loved others. He wants to be our forever friend too. Review the story in the curriculum, so you understand the points to get across, but I will have a beautifully copied story in your room for you to use in telling this story.
Activities: Thoughts on some of the activities:
Blind movements: Have kids follow instructions while their eyes are closed. Easy!!!
What do I feel: This is a favorite kids love. This will keep them guessing! Easy props and you could sub in different props if needed.
Balloon chase: I would call this balloon walk rather than chase, but might be fun to practice saying the scripture verse. You could even take the kids down to the gym for this one! Fun outing. We have balloons and plenty of string/yarn.
Crafts:
BFF Bookmark: A fun easy craft. We have stickers and glitter. Glitter sounds scary but they love it and we have an easy way to do it using trays, so it won't be so messy.
Mud face: This might scare you, but sensory activities like this sometimes really hit the mark. Julie and I can help if needed!
